The School of mechanical and electrical engineering is composed of three professional subgroups: mechanical and electrical technology subgroup, intelligent technology subgroup and ship port technology subgroup, as well as the training center of the Department of mechanical and electrical engineering. The professional subgroup includes 10 Majors: electromechanical equipment technology, port machinery and intelligent control, industrial robot technology, intelligent control technology, intelligent robot technology, ship electrical engineering technology, ship engineering technology, ship outfitting engineering technology, ship communication equipment technology and wind power generation engineering technology. Among them, intelligent robot technology, intelligent control technology, ship communication equipment technology and wind power engineering technology are the new majors enrolled for the first time in 2022, and industrial robot technology is the major developed by the college.
At present, the Department of mechanical and electrical engineering has more than 2000 students, 46 full-time teachers, 8 part-time teachers, 11 with senior titles or above and 19 with intermediate titles. Double qualified teachers account for more than 50%.
There are 16 training rooms in the electromechanical Department: Metalworking Training Room (2), PLC training room (2), Electromechanical Technology Foundation (electrical, electronic and electrical) training room (2), mechanical foundation (comprehensive) training room (2), CAD comprehensive training room (2), hydraulic and pneumatic transmission training room (1), welding technology training room (1), numerical control principle and system training room (1), single chip microcomputer principle and application training room (1) Industrial robot system training room (1) and intelligent robot innovation training room (1).
